0. SAE bellhousing and flexible coupring for diract mourting to engine. Free-standing gearbox optional

1. Hydraulically actuated friction clutch. The clutch trave oil grooves to ensure adequate cooling and facilitate soft engagement.

2. Split oil inlet sleeve provides oil for lubrication and clutch actuation from the control valvet

3. Spherical roller bearing to absorb gear wheel thrust.

4. Helical reduction gear pinion integral with input shaft- precision ground from alloy steel - heat treated for correct hardness. Magnaflux control. Oilspray lubrication.

5. Oil cooler with cathodic protection.

6. Rugged spherical journal bearing.

7. Splined drivexhaft for the oli pump.

8. Gear-type oil pump flanged to gearbox housing and directly driven be the engine flywheel througth the splined shaft (7) provides hydraulic pressure to pitch servo and clutch and general lubrication.

9. Grease nipple for seal lubrication.

10. Output shaft seal retains oil and prevents ingress of dirt and water.

11. Pitch control lever.

12. Control slice distributes oil to each side of servo piston to maintain desired pitch.

13. Oilway from hyrdraulic control valve provides lubrication of servo shaft bearing.

14. White metal sleeve bearing combired with oil distributor for the servo piston. (Via the control slice 12).

15. Helical reduction gearwheelprecision ground from hardened alloy steel for noise-free operation. Oiispray lubrication

16. Hydraulically actuated servo piston connected to the propeller by a push-pull rod mounted in a hollowbored tailshaft.

17. Heavy duty double-tapered roller bearing to absorb the propeller thrust and transmit tieis to the gearbox anchor borts.

18. The output shaft also acts as the servo piston cylinder.

20. Split-mounted coupring flenge for easy shaft withdrawal.

22. When the push-pull rod is moved, the tie rod cross head (28) tums the propeller blades (26).

23. The propeller shaft is manufactured of SM-steel 52-3 as standard, alternativ stainless steel if required. The shaft is hol low bored for the solid pushpull roa.

24. "Deep Sea Seals" seal type EJ, watercooled, foroil lubrication.

25. Oil lubricated stern tube with white metal bearings.

26. The propeller blades are manufactured of Ni-AI-Bz in 3 or 4-blades degige. Design for nozzle is available.

27. 28. The propeller blades are moved by means of the tie rod cross head (28) with stainless pins (27). On each pin there is a movable slipper block in a milled slot in the blade foot.

29. The sturdy propeller head is manufactured of Mn-Bz and deltvered either flanged to the propeller shaft, or for mourting on a taper.

30. "Deep Sea Seals" seal type EK for oil lubrication.

31. Loose bush with cast-in white metal.

32. Oil tank for stern tube.
